Driving past you might think it's just another basic park; an equipment set for local kids to play on and a little open grassy space nearby.

However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the facilities here are a lot better than I had been expecting. For one thing, the playground is big enough to have levels and stairs.

In the back corner (the one furthest from the road) there are even toilets. I expect these from sportsgrounds, not a local park, and was very surprised to find them tucked away here.

Grass, trees and paths help create a welcoming atmosphere and if families choose to stay long enough for a picnic, they will find all the appropriate facilities. There's a barbecue with tables nearby, while elsewhere you will find benches.

This park is found on Lessing Street, which is on the border of Asquith and Hornsby. The curve of the street means the place is bordered by the road on two sides, but the park is fenced so kids can roam around safely.
