Who doesn't love spaghetti? True to its name, boasts a variety of delicious pasta dishes to delight any Italian food enthusiast.

is hardly a pretentious gourmet establishment. A family restaurant doling out huge portions of creamy pasta and crisp pizza, you would be hard-pressed to find the exotic ingredients of more upmarket affairs. But when you're craving pasta, will cater to your needs. They have a wide selection of pasta dishes, encompassing favourite dishes such as spaghetti bolognese, cannelloni and marinara.

I ordered the tortellini alfredo- beef stuffed tortellini immersed in a creamy sauce. It certainly exceeded my expectations. The sauce wasn't at all oily, as you often find when dining at dodgy restaurants, and had just the right amount of flavour. The only downside was that the serving size was slightly too big- although I definitely tried to eat all of it.

Don't feel like pasta? There is also a wide selection of pizza available, mainly traditional favourites. There are gourmet pizzas on the menu, but they're nothing too exotic, such as mediterranean lamb and smoked salmon.

My partner chose the meat lovers pizza, which featured all kinds of meat imaginable including salami, sausage and ham. It tasted fresh and lacked the oily quality of takeaway pizza. Certainly beats the local pizza shop, and at a comparable price too.

We also ordered cheesy garlic bread as a starter. Completely unlike any garlic bread I've had before, it was more like a deliciously cheesy garlic pizza. It was certainly not the size you would expect a starter to be, unless it was to be shared between an entire family- a bit much for two people.

There are other meals available, including chicken or veal parmigiana, steak and seafood. The full menu can be viewed here .

With most of their pasta dishes under $20, all large pizzas under $20 and all mains under $25, certainly won't break the bank.

The service at Leo's wasn't the best. There was a misunderstanding with our order- they brought us the wrong pizza, and forgot about our starter. However, they promptly brought the right order when we pointed out their mistake. Despite the service, exceeded my expectations in both the quality of the food and value- a winning combination.

is located on Fitzroy Street , St Kilda; a short stroll from the beach.
