Wholesome, heartfelt food that does as good as it looks is the ethos at Leopold's of London in the Galleria, just outside the city part of Abu Dhabi.

This restaurant in the mall is a vegetarian's dream, but also serves superb fare for meat-lovers too. The salads are a modern mix of ingredients like beetroot, pine nut, and feta quinoa salad.



My sisters and I chose all four salads, the dark red quinoa salad, the roasted vegetable (courgettes, peppers, onions), pea and asparagus, and the pearl barley. It was a huge and nutritious mix, brimming with goodness, as well as flavour.

As delicious as the salads were, we also ordered the fat chips and Harissa chicken dish. It was served on a bed of pomegranate couscous, complete with sauce and dips.



We had two plates of the four salads, a large bowl of the said chips, and the chicken meal. There were three, boneless, tasty chicken thighs, and we couldn't finish it all. It was an incredible, filling meal that satisfied our hunger for healthy and flavoursome food.

Leopold's of London is a massively underrated venue, with plenty of options for the nutrition-conscious foodie. The drinks deserve a mention, too.



I started with their 'gym junkie' juice, made of apple, pear, lemon, cucumber and spinach. It was sweet and delicious. My sisters both ordered the creamy smoothie made of strawberries, coconut milk, cranberry juice and banana. It was the thickest, most ice-cream-like, yet refined, sugar-free smoothie that I've had.



Leopold's is definitely one for the hungry. After filling our tummies with all that was well and good, I ordered a pot of rose tea. It was presented so prettily, and the tea didn't disappoint. It was a fragrant, light and hydrating tea that boosted my energy, naturally, of course.
