Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!
'Is this what you wanted?'
Leonard Cohen is coming to town. If you don't know who Leonard Cohen is, then you just need recall Shrek's theme song 'Hallelujah!' Leonard Cohen wrote this song, together with many other blue/jazz type songs.

Now, the last time I was to see Leonard Cohen was about 4 years ago. I had spent most of my savings buying the best seats in town. Of course, I bought these tickets well in advance, and as life would have it, I started to work longer hours. On the day of the concert, in fact, 1 hour before the concert was to start; I suddenly remembered that I was supposed to go to a concert. Of course I was 2 hours away, so I called up someone I knew to go in my place. I was just a little miffed because I was really looking forward to this event and had to miss it due to work. So imagine my surprise to find he is back on tour!

Leonard Cohen is probably one of the very few classical singers and songwriters of the current era. He is Canadian and a poet. Some of his songs, like 'Democracy',' were written with a slight political edge. Other songs are written with a deep sense of emotions that has hit many a lady's hearts. As a result, Leonard Cohen has gained a reputation of being a "ladies' man".
The cheapest tickets are about $148 (Ticketek), with the most expensive ticket being about $294.00 (Ticketek). The pricing is indicative of the seating arrangements, and of course the most expensive seats in the house place you right in front of the stage. I would say that would be the best seat in town.
Leonard Cohen is not getting any younger, and there are rumours that this is the last tour for the 78 year old. This would probably explain why the ticket pricing is so high, and it would make one of the most memorable experiences of all time.
There is a little confusion in regards to getting tickets. Visa is offering those with a Visa card, the opportunity to purchase tickets before tickets are open to the general public which is on 12 August 2013. If you do not have a Visa card, you can purchase tickets from a site called 'Viagogo' which I have linked below. However pricing is almost triple than what you would pay through the visa option of Ticketek.

Of course I would like to leave you with one piece of advice. Mark this date on you calendar, in your diary, on your iPhone, and any other place to remind you when the concert is. It would be a shame to miss, probably the last tour Leonard Cohen will ever do, because you let something else get in the way! Enjoy!
