Like its sister restaurants in Abbotsford and Footscray, the St Kilda branch of Lentil as Anything is a not-for-profit organisation offering delicious vegetarian and vegan food inspired by the cuisines of Africa, Nepal, India, and other countries around the world.

Situated on the corner of Acland and Blessington streets, this branch is smaller and more intimate than its counterparts, and offers an a-la-carte menu of curries, salads, burgers and a range of hot and cold drinks.
The restaurant runs on donations.

The food is served quickly by the friendly volunteers and is spicy, heart-warming fare. At the end of the meal, instead of being charged a standard price, visitors place a donation in a box on the counter, offering what they though the meal was worth, or, if this is not possible, what they can afford.

This is a certainly a unique dining experience and one not to be missed. The restaurant gets busy so make sure to book a table or arrive early! Try and get your hands on a copy of their cookbook, Lentil as Anything: Food, Culture and Community if you like their recipes.

The restaurant opens 9am-11pm daily.
