An Easter Pilgrimage
Pilgrim Uniting Church is giving visitors a reflective and meditative experience, with the opportunity to journey through the season of Lent inspired by art. This exhibition, which officially opened on March 19th, journeys through the Stations of the Cross through Jesus' eyes.
The Stations of the Cross, or Way of the Cross, refers to a series of reflections and representations in art of Jesus carrying the cross to his crucifixion. The Stations of the Cross, is a tradition in most Roman Catholic churches, as well as many Anglican and Lutheran parishes. This exhibition showcases some remarkable art works by the late Rita Broadway, and beautiful fabric art by Jenny Gallo.
A Lenten journey through art
The exhibition is easily accessible to city visitors and workers, and is open weekdays (except Wednesdays) from March 16th, until Thursday April 2nd, from 12-2pm. Come on this Lenten journey and spend time in contemplation, and with your imagination, as you reflect on the Easter story retold through art.
Pilgrim Uniting Church is located at 12 Flinders Street, in Adelaide.
