Situated at the east end of Rundle Street in the heart of the city is Lemongrass Thai Bistro. This restaurant offers a range of Thai delicacies in a sophisticated and relaxed setting. With simple yet sleek décor, including decorative tabletops and chocolate coloured chairs, Lemongrass aesthetically pleases diners.

Lemongrass' cuisine blends traditional and contemporary flavours and the results do not disappoint. With most dishes, patrons can choose from a variety of meats, seafood or tofu and add their selection of accompaniments and sauce. Main course options include cashew nuts with spring onion, mushrooms and baby corn or spicy pepper with black bean sauce and vegetables. Wok-fried noodles are available in varieties such as pud Thai (pictured below), hot chilli and crispy egg.

Furthermore, a lengthy list of entrees and side dishes can be included with main meals. Examples of entrees are pandan chicken, prawn toast and satay chicken. Meanwhile some side dish options are steamed egg noodles or Chinese bread, which is served steamed or fried. An added bonus of dining at Lemongrass is that a large portion of their menu is devoted to gluten free options, so the gluten intolerant need not worry about dining at the restaurant.

Lemongrass also provides a selection of banquets. These range from simpler two-course meals with coffee and tea to more decadent four-course offerings. Most banquets have a minimum person requirement, so it is best to check before making any decisions. Perhaps the most indulgent on the menu is the two-person banquet, which includes three courses and a choice of wine.

The beverage list is impressive, with a selection of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails and aperitifs. Alongside these are non-alcoholic options such as lemon, lime and bitters, variety of soft drinks and fruit juices. No matter your preference, there will be a beverage to complement your meal.

Lemongrass is somewhere you can celebrate a milestone with a banquet, enjoy a relaxed meal with family or friends and soak in the city atmosphere. It offers a range of meals and with the selection of entrees, mains, wok dishes and sides there is something to suit any taste.
