The streets might look empty and the doors closed in Covid-19 times, but Chapel Street Precinct is doing all it can to keep the memories of a popular, thriving, bustling community, living, laughing, eating and partying ALIVE! You can still enjoy the good food, lattes and other services still available for takeaway and ordering online, so don't stop supporting your local through the Coronavirus Crisis. Stay abreast via the website, Facebook page and Instagram and stay updated about your favourite party-town. If you're a local and want to stay updated as to what the City of Stonnington is doing for its community, SEE HERE. Star Health are also operating a FREE Covid-19 screening clinic at the Prahran Town Hall open 7 days a week. Find out more HERE.

Australia's largest retail precinct has enlisted Melbourne Megastar Dolly Diamond as its official ambassador to educate Melbournians on supporting small businesses during this global crisis. Check out some of the Dolly Does Chapel (From Home) videos that'll put a smile on your face during these tough times. You'll also find updates on Dolly's Facebook page.

If you're a business in the precinct and want to be added to the list of businesses, email admin@chapelstreet.com.au The C.St Precinct is also interested in Your Story so be sure to submit them to air your business. Leader Community News and the Herald Sun is also building an interactive guide so the word can keep out getting out about Chapel Street Precinct businesses that are working hard to adapt by offering online, no contact and delivery options, so FIND IT HERE and get on it!

Oriental Teahouse

The Street Art in the precinct is alive and well with some of Melbourne's most epic street artwork donning the walls and back alleys of the area. It takes on a new appreciation when you walk past it to go grocery shopping, so keep your eyes peeled as its freedom of expression tames the beast and calms the mind. Art is good for the soul. The tourist precinct of Greville Street is also alive and well and offering takeaways; with stores offering appointment-based social distancing shopping.

Getting the Best Takeaway Coffee in the precinct could start a small upheaval, but whoever is your favourite, you'll find they're still doing takeaways to start your morning off for you. If you haven't ordered any Easter Delights yet to go with that coffee, be sure to check it out. Some of the restaurants like Oriental Teahouse are putting a fun twist to their food by offering DIY Dumpling packs. They'll deliver anywhere within 10kms of their Chapel St store, powered by Mr Yum. The option to order ready-made dumplings and even alcohol is still on the table, and can be delivered direct to your door.

Staying safe while supporting your favourite locals who are working so hard to stay afloat, or to try something new, be sure to give them a call directly and collect your order. There are great restaurants and cafes following Government health guidelines around sanitisation and social distancing measures to make picking up your order safe and many are happy to bring your order to your car if you are parked nearby. By ordering direct you'll be helping these businesses make it through and retain as many of the wonderful staff you've come to know and love.

Missing The Emerson? Find them on wheels as they deliver your favourites to you, bringing you cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and sparking from The Rooftop to your door. If you're missing attending The Windsor Workshop, they've created a group to help you stay connected and creative during this isolating time. At Design A Space, they bring the whole store to you; all 170 plus designers, in the form of your virtual personal shopper. They will virtually walk you through their store so DM them your email and request a time to shop with them. Barre Body Windsor are giving you 5 days of their program totally FREE for 5 days and later you can choose whether or not you'd like to join their stay at home challenge. Vision Prahran is also offering their brand new Online PT program where you can get great results from the comfort and safety of your own home. For a FULL LIST of the businesses and services you can support, be sure to stay updated via all the links given to the Precinct's media platforms above.
