LEGO Models at the Sydney Aquarium

It may seem like an unusual union, but this summer, LEGO and the Sydney Aquarium combine to bring you: Our Creations.
The concept is simple. Masterful LEGO model builders have converged on the Sydney Aquarium in order to design and assemble large-scale myths and legends of the sea.
From Neptune to Moby Dick, the most whimsical underwater creatures have been given new life through the small building blocks that most of us remember form our childhood days. Even mermaids have invaded the dugong exhibit at Sydney Aquarium, recalling the roots of the mermaid legend when early sailors spotted dugongs.
(Although, once you've seen the dugongs, it may be hard to believe this legend.)
Undoubtedly, the piece de resistance of the exhibit is the enormous, life-size model of a shark suspended from the ceiling of Shark HQ. There is also an online competition running, with prizes going to the person who most accurately guesses the number of bricks in the LEGO shark.
The Sydney Aquarium itself can be found at 1-5 Wheat Road in Darling Harbour. Adult tickets cost $34.99, but children can gain admission for $17.99.
Although you may choose to favour the more inexpensive option of catching a train or bus to the Aquarium Pier, you may also consider taking more scenic forms of transport. The Darling Park Monorail Station will take you very close to the Aquarium, and Sydney's ferries make daily stops in the area.
