Every second Tuesday from 16 October to 11 December 2018, The Mawson Centre is hosting a basic course that allows anyone from 8 years old up to learn about robotics, coding and programming. This program makes uses of the Lego Mindstorms EV3 set, the latest iteration of the Lego Mindstorms robotics kit that was first released on the 1st of September in 2013.

During the course, participants will have the opportunity to build robots using various motors and sensors as well as programming them to help complete challenges. Having prior experience with Lego, Mindstorms and programming is not required but can be helpful to enhance your experience with the course.

This course will be held over 5 sessions on the following dates:

16th October,
30th October,
13th November,
27th November and
11th December

The course can be booked through Mawson Centre Eventbrite site. Parent supervision is not required but they are welcome to observe the sessions. Alternatively, parents can spend their time browsing through Mawson Lakes Library which is opened till 7pm on Tuesdays.
