Legacy is the fourth installment of the Vampire Beach series where readers follows the adventures of the DeVere Heights Vampires. In this book, Jason Freeman, our protagonist, needs to make some life changing decision about his relationship with his vampire girlfriend, Sienna Devereux.

Sienna's parents are dead set against their relationship just because he isn't a vampire, but Jason's Aunt Bianca whom got turned when she married her late husband has just the solution for him and his little sister, Dani. To turn them into vampires so that they could inherit her legacy ...

Duval has created a perfect setting for romance, high school and drama on the Malibu beaches where this heart gripping romance takes place. Like the previous books in this series, it's not particularly long or difficult to read, so it's perfect for some light reading. What I really enjoyed about this book was that there was a lot more information about Jason's family, like Dani's relationship and his Aunt Bianca, whom we've only really seen in a certain context. Here you get to know these characters better and really see the family dynamic.

Again Duval did a fantastic job in capturing the readers' imagination and not letting it go till the last page of the story.

However, there was a significant loss of the epic actions scenes in the previous books, while there was an increase in the romance department.

It was a gripping love story with a lot of wit and humour along the way. It's a fantastic YA fiction and for those who enjoy a quick read.
