A winter produce market open every weekend

Left Bank Mercato, in partnership with its local suppliers, is safely providing an essential service to Melburnians, retailing fresh food and essentials to the community.

The Left Bank Mercato is open from 10 am every Saturday & Sunday, for as long as the lockdown will last.

It is a unique opportunity to pick up and takeaway all the flavours you know and love directly from the Left Bank Melbourne terrace on Southbank Boulevard.

Shop by the river to pick up things like:

  • Fruit and vegetable packs for two or four or more

  • Ready to eat pasta dishes

  • Take-away pizzas and pies

  • Cheese and salumi

  • Premium wines

  • Take home cocktails and take-home 1.25l tap beer growlers

  • Truffle products

  • Sauces

  • Cannoli

  • Fresh seafood

  • Pastries and fresh bread

  • Takeaway coffee

The health and safety of the community, traders and workers are Left Bank Melbourne's number one priority. To ensure the facilities are safe and comply with government guidelines, the following precautions have been taken:

  • The market will operate only outside on the terrace

  • Regular and thorough sanitation is undertaken

  • Floor markers are in place to assist with queuing to ensure a minimum of 1.5m between staff and customers

  • A limit on how many customers can enter at one time to ensure there is no more than one person per 4 sqm

  • Signage has been installed around the market to remind both staff and customers of physical distancing requirements

The Left Bank Mercato will be open from 10 am every Saturday & Sunday for as long as the lockdown lasts. For all the latest, please visit

Don’t like this. How did council approve. This is not essential shopping for food.
It’s so bad, encouraging a lot of people to get together
