The hugely popular Farmers Market concept has come to Leederville. Sunday the 19th January marks the grand opening of what will be a weekly event, running between 7.30am – 12noon every Sunday at 663 Newcastle St, Leederville.
The heart of this market lies in its charter that all goods sold at the market are grown, baked or caught/reared in WA by our own farmers and food artisans.
You can look forward to meeting fresh food vendors from Broome to Denmark, a great showcase of the sumptuous food available right here in WA. It's a great initiative to bring back our food production and consumption locally, something that reduces our carbon footprint whilst ensuring we are consuming the freshest produce available from artisan breads through to cheese and yoghurt, handmade pastas, seasonal produce, baked treats and the all-important fresh juices and good coffee.
The Farmers Market is a great way to start your Sunday. Bring the family or stroll through on your own enjoying the atmosphere. Write a list, bring a basket and get excited – skip your usual routine and come down for a coffee, juice and breakfast and make this the start of a new resolution for 2014.
For a full list of vendors, jump on the website or follow the Farmers Market on Facebook and, as the organisers say, 'Enjoy the Experience'!
