These Easter Autumn School Holidays are all about 'Lions' at the Werribee Open Range Zoo!

During the Learning to Roar activities Werribee Zoo Keepers, along with the help of some playful lion cubs, will teach visitors how to prowl, pounce and roar like a lion.

Kids will learn about some of the important skills lion cubs develop as they grow in order to live and survive in the wild. Master some and perhaps you'll be invited to join the pride in the Prowling and Pouncing Zone designed especially for school holiday fun.

Hear the traditional folktale, How the Lion Got its Roar and dance to some African music, which will be running daily at 11.30am and 12.30pm during the Autumn School Holidays.

The Lion Keepers will speak daily at 11.30am about the majestic African Lions and the important conservation work being done to preserve them and their habitat in an increasingly dangerous and diminishing environment.

There will be additional Lion-themed games held on the lawn during school holidays, so be sure and check it out.



The Werribee Open Range Zoo is located on the Princes Freeway, 35km from Melbourne's city centre and is open every day of the year from 9am – 5pm. Please note: Last entry is at 3.30pm.

Kids entry is free during school holidays, public holidays and weekends. Adult tickets are $31.60. Concession $24.20 and Seniors $28.40. Tickets can be purchased online to save time.
