Spend your weekends learning a new skill
Computer programming or coding is the process of creating a set of instructions for computers. Coding links mathematics, computer science and creativity, and is becoming just as important as learning French or German at school.

Learning basic programming would help us to interact with the world around us. Even though it is unlikely that we will all turn into software developers over night, basic code is a great skill to add to you CV, one that is being taught in schools in America, and for whatever purpose you use it for, it is a valuable tool in general.

I've been trying for quite a while to teach myself through various Youtube videos but then I was sent this like by a friend - Codecademy, check it out here: www.codecademy.com

Codecademy will teach you how you can build a website without paying a third party to develop it for you, or relying on blogging sites. Their instructions are relatively idiot proof and lead you through practical steps where you can try out each instruction out as you go along.
