Ever wanted to fly a helicopter before? If you're not scared of a little adventure, this hobbie might just be for you. If you've done everything from kayaking, canyoning to whitewater rafting and your adrenaline just isn't feeling a rush anymore - you should definitely consider learning to fly a helicopter.

Now, for this hobbie you can actually go on a Trial Introductory Flight for $185 in a Piper Warrior with Sydney Aviators. You'll be alongside a qualified instructor and actually be able to take the controls and fly yourself for a bit. Here, if you discover that helicopter flying is actually for you - you can go onto get your Student Pilot Licence (SPL) and more.

Bankstown Helicopters also offers the chance to learn to fly. Additionally, you can also take scenic flights - but if you want to fly, the complete price list for getting a license is located here. Nobody said that this would be a cheap hobbie by any means. if you're interested in a trial flight from Bankstown Helicopters, it's $299.

Helipad offer a 30 minute trial flight for $300, and an hour long trial flight for $500. Here you can also train for your private pilot licence (PPL).

If you're interested in a longer term qualification, Aerowasp Helicopters provide professional flight training which can lead you to a certificate 2, 3 or 4 in aviation.

Of course, this being such an adventurous hobbie, it could potentially be dangerous. I'm not trying to talk anyone out of it - just maybe avoid it if you're not willing to take a risk.
