Learn this ancient art in a modern setting and with modern ceramic bisque-ware with experienced teacher Cynthia Manietta from Turning Earth Ceramics.

This is a technical skill which turns white ceramic pieces into works of art and family heirlooms. The workshop gives you the opportunity to work with ceramics and surface decoration with beautiful Japanese tissue papers which feature intricate designs.

Annerley Community Hub has been running Creative Workshops in their temporary home to ensure that their essential service continues. They strive for social justice and help some of the most vulnerable members of our society. A portion of the tickets sold for these events goes directly back to the centre to keep it running and providing support and assistance to those in need.

Cynthia has been teaching ceramics for many years after learning at a University level and running her own ceramics business. She has recently set up a supplies store, Ipswich Pottery Supplies and has a growing following of devotees across Brisbane and the wider region.

All materials are supplied for this class but you will need to return to the centre 1 week later to collect your piece after it has been fired.
