Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!

I'm sure most of us think alike - that greeting cards are becoming so expensive, one would rather spend the extra on the gift, than purchase a card that in today's digital age is becoming quite an unnecessary add-on? Especially when the recipient may just glance at it and put it to one side, to either go in the recycling bin or be put into a folder bulging with greeting cards from the past twenty years. Yep, I have said folders, always in the hope that one day someone would be keen to take them over to recycle and reuse.

But … have you ever thought about creating your very own handmade cards, ones that are made with love and care and can be treasured for many years to come. Join Julia Quinn throughout the month of March, at various Sunshine Coast Libraries for a fun and interactive hands-on workshop, to create a handmade card.

Learn how to emboss and stamp; how to use a die cutting machine, pretty paper cutters and punches and then take home your very own card and envelope.

The Handmade Cards workshops are totally FREE and all equipment and materials will be provided. Attendance registration is essential due to limited numbers. Choose your favourite library below and then follow the highlighted links to let them know you'll be there.

I like that the workshops are being held in the accessible community hubs of the libraries. This makes it easy for everyone to get involved.
