I enjoyed a leisurely lunch with my youngest daughter, at a hidden gem of a café in Worongary, on the weekend.
Le Vintage Boutique Café is a stone's throw from exit 75 on the Pacific Motorway, with on-site parking. A perfect spot for some time out and ideal for those days when the motorway is backed up, allowing you to hop off, enjoy breakfast or lunch, then in 2 minutes you are back on your way.
With pockets of places to sit, you can choose from the front pavement tables, sit inside or at the many little spots around the side and back. It's kind of quirky, with an Alice in Wonderland feel to the place. The owners look like they have had a fun time creating the garden area, with its original layout. Just love the succulents in teacups, teapot fountain and dachshunds subtly hanging out everywhere. A range of table choices allow for a sit-down meal or opt for the comfy chairs for a coffee or a chat with a friend over a pot of tea. The front counter is filled with delicious treats, such as the walnut chocolate brownies or lemon meringue pie, which would be the perfect compliment. There's lots to look at, including gentle cooing doves and colourful parrots, unhurried turtles on lazy swims in their tank and the cutest of succulents that are growing everywhere.
So what's on the menu?
"A mouth watering, restaurant-quality menu for breakfast, lunch and dinners complemented by a range of snacks, superfood juices and their signature coffees, Le Vintage Boutique Café has all the classics and caters for all dietary requirements" – view breakfast menu

here . We ordered the Coconut Bowl and a Grilled Chicken Burger, which came with delicious chips. They came in a stylish basket akin to a baby fryer, which looked pretty cool. My daughter tells me the chicken burger was excellent and her iced coffee was the best she has ever had, so that was high praise. My coconut bowl, with granola and seasonal fruit, was filled with a frozen combination of coconut flesh and milk. It was refreshingly good, without the oversweetness of ice cream. Probably should have ordered it in the height of summer and not in the middle of winter, which has been chilly with our recent frosty mornings. Tea was just the thing afterwards. We had thought we would select a treat from the front counter to finish up with but had no room left, which just gave us the perfect excuse to revisit in the near future.
There are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and paleo options. Le Vintage Café caters for functions too. Contact them
here to discuss your requirements. If you are too busy to enjoy food at the café, then the entire menu is available for take away. Open 7 days, business hours are Mon – Fri 5am – 2pm and Sat & Sun 6am – 2pm.
Gift items are also available so you can enjoy browsing their range. There are even handmade cards so there's that birthday present you needed sorted. If you are still stuck for ideas then select the Cafe's gift voucher - what a nice gift that would make.
Le Vintage Café is both child and animal friendly and since they are open from 5am, they have your coffee and breakfast needs well covered. As mentioned, it's just off the M1 so it's not only tucked away in the hinterland but also within easy reach.
So if it's great food, in a convenient location, with a quirky setting, that you are looking for, then drop in to
Le Vintage Boutique and check it out for yourself.
