Le Comptior at Annandale was once a cute little French patisserie come cafe where every local and his dog wants to snap up one of the seats outside. It is cosy and trendy inside, yet it feels so small and not so spacious so it is best to eat outside.

A great coffee pit stop, and also the orange juice here is quite refreshing. The food can be a little bit hit and miss. Their sandwiches are tasteless, and their bacon is somewhat greasy while the fat is not trimmed off. On the other hand this establishment has nailed it with their eggs that are poached just right. Pity about the bacon, so I don't ask for it. The hollandaise sauce is perfect, and this is not the easiest sauce to cook and prepare.

Really fits in with the village atmosphere that is called Annandale, and hence sitting outside is just perfect despite nothing being wrong with wanting to eat inside. The prices are okay, however the staff can be quite rude, although the pleasant people must be the owners.

Le Comptior is another child friendly cafe in inner Sydney.
