Nestled on Darling Street, Le Cafeier is a new addition to the Balmain Village. It has just been open for business for a few days. The shop is uniquely designed to reflect the atmosphere; the logo is distinctively designed by using real coffee beans, and the decor is bright and inviting with decorative plants hanging up the walls.
White is the prime colour for the interior setting, making space appear brighter, larger and more spacious visually. Simplicity by design, the atmosphere is very pleasing and refreshing, offering a welcoming ambience to lighten up your mood. You can also choose to sit outside as there are a few tables on the street path.
Upon ordering a cup of coffee and macadamia cookies from the jar, I rested relaxingly on the comfortable seating and leaned against the lovely cushion. The coffee was blended very well with a delicate aroma, and the cookies were delicious. As winter has arrived, blankets are provided to customers in case they feel a bit cold. What a caring thought.
By the time I finished my afternoon tea and was ready to pay the bill, I was so surprised (actually a bit embarrassed) to find out that the cookies were indeed not for sale as they were mainly served as treats for the kids, if needed. The staff was so friendly and he insisted that I only needed to pay for the coffee. This simple delight made my day.
Le Cafeier is a great little coffee shop - great coffee, good customer service and lovely atmosphere. I will definitely revisit the shop to enjoy the great experience again.
