Warning, Dangerous for the Diet
Ignite your senses at Le Bon Choix Bakery – the delicious fresh bakery aroma, the delightful vibrant display, the sensual texture and taste of French sweet and savory treats. Visit the continent without even leaving town.
Open every single day from 6.30am to 6pm, so there is plenty of time to have a relaxing wholesome lunch; a morning or afternoon coffee with a fresh tasty treat at one of five Le Bon Choix Bakeries. Everything is freshly baked, exquisitely presented and did I mention the smell and the taste?
I indulged at their main Queen St café and now I'm hooked - will have to return at least a dozen times to work my way through their amazing selection of salted caramel and other eclairs, bagels, croissants, almond croissants; pain au chocolat, and the list goes on. The mango mousse with banana and passionfruit jelly won me – three favourite flavours in one delicious treat. The actual presentation of each cake is a real work of art and it feels criminal to bite into it. Don't believe me then check out their website for more detailed professional photos?
Then once you do bite into it the texture and taste equate with my idea of heaven on earth … they are extremely dangerous for the diet. And all served with professional efficiency in a delightful setting with tables inside and outside, shaded by a lovely old fig tree. The individual treats are $7.80; Bagels $9.50 and the basic cake size about $40 and well worth every cent. Served with charming Parisian flair and the perfect coffee.
