Recently I had the pleasure of celebrating my son's 6th birthday at LAYGO. The LAYGO shop is a retail outlet and also a party venue. The birthday room was beautifully decorated with a huge number of helium balloon, including a gold number '6', foil streamers and banners. The tables were set- up with centrepieces, which consisted of a LEGO box with 3 balloons, plus there were party hats for all guests.
They have a couple of birthday party rooms set up to cater for up to 16 children (minimum 10). There are different party packages to suit different ages and preference of structure (competitive or non-competitve) The parties are held for 1.5 hours and the fee includes a party host, nibbles, invitations and party bags for your guests. In addition, there is an area set-up for parents to stay with tea/coffee facilities. There is also LEGO for toddlers whilst the parents sit and relax with a hot beverage.
I was extremely happy with the service and the staff are friendly and most helpful. The host for the birthday party managed the group extremely well and clearly communicated instructions to the children.
Furthermore, there are programs held during the schools holidays; for more details check their website.
So for all the LEGO enthusiasts out there, you can go and buy the latest and greatest LEGEO, have a birthday party, join a vocational care program or just go in and browse (they also have vintage LEGO displayed).
