Melbourne is home to a large community of creatives, although most hubs and events supporting such talent are limited to the heart of the city.

This is soon to change for the people of Melbourne's South East and The Mornington Peninsula, with the introduction of a new online hub celebrating local creative talent, initiated by Frankston Arts Centre.

The Edge will be an online platform where artists, designers, performers, musicians, sculptors and art lovers can connect, share ideas, promote events and showcase their work.

To celebrate the initiative, Frankston Arts Centre have organised a special launch party for The Edge on Sunday 6 April from 2 - 4pm which will take place at Frankston Art Centre's Cube 37 Gallery.

This is a FREE event which will showcase existing artists including performances by Frankston South local Jackie Sannia, finalist from The Voice Australia 2013, the amazing Valanga and Andrea Khoza, local singer/songwriter Tash Parker, and Hip Cat Circus with MC Luke Hunter.

There will also be artisan stalls and an African drumming workshop for all ages, plus an exhibition organised by the Frankston Photography Club.

If you are a creative local to the area, you will also have the opportunity to upload your own artist profile to the new site with the assistance of Frankston Art Centre staff.

Don't miss this FREE community event. RSVP to 9784 1896 or [email protected] to register your attendance.
