Launch of 'Walk the Yorke'

It's no doubt that the Yorke Peninsula is an iconic and gorgeous part of South Australia. It's a coastal beauty with so much to offer including breathtaking views, beaches, historic lighthouses and indigenous lands that are a must see for every Australian! It's also a reputable tourist attraction, particularly during Summer, where you can rent a holiday house situated perfectly alongside the beach.





It's a pleasure to hear that the Yorke Peninsula council has constructed a 500 km trail to create an unforgettable walking experience around the coastal region. This has been in the works for a while now, and on Sunday the 13th of December, the trail will be launched for all to experience. The day will commence at 7.30 am for breakfast by the sea, and the public walk will follow for the Port Vincent Golf Course along the scenic Walk the Yorke Leisure Trail (approximately 4 kms). This sounds like an amazing way to spend a Sunday! Being outdoors with the family, basking in the sunshine and getting a healthy dose of Vitamin D whilst getting fit simultaneously. The children can get involved at the Walk the Yorke children's activity trail, from 10.30 am – 11.30 am, where they can also get their face painted and explore the Treasure Island inflatable obstacle/jumping activity. What kid doesn't love being a tiger or fairy for the day!





Not only will there be an array of activities for all, but a selection of healthy snacks and drinks will be available on the day, as well as the infamous bike smoothie! Cycle away and pedal as fast as you can to create a delicious and nutritious smoothie, whilst working those legs!. How convenient! The trail will be officially unveiled by Mr Rowan Ramsey MP at 12 pm.



So slip, slop, slap, get the runners ready and head on down to the Yorke Peninsula on the 13th of December for a day of fun and sun!.
