Laughter Clubs Victoria Inc 's passion is to spread laughter throughout the community. Since founding in 2003, they promote free community laughter clubs around Victoria. The Laughter & Happiness Summit on Sunday 1 December 2019 from 9am to 1.30pm at the Banquet Hall, Malvern Town Hall, 1251 High St, Malvern is FREE to attend. The quote Laughter is the Best Medicine has been bandied about forever; and as we grow, we realise there's truth to these old sayings and that's why they've stood the test of time. Some attribute the origin of this quote to American publisher and humour writer Bennett Cerf. However, others have suggested earlier origins for the phrase derives from Proverbs 17:22 in the Old Testament. A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. No matter when and where it originated, the benefits of laughter are well documented.
