You'll laugh, you'll drink, you'll laugh some more
Laughter, they say, is the best medicine, and there's nothin' like a dose of sweet sweet laughter from our local comedians, particularly if you're dealing with mid-week stress, Sydney city madness (CityFail much?) and other related run-of-the-mill first world problems.
The Laugh Stand offers a cure for all of that nonsense. It's quickly becoming Sydney's go-to comedy night, with live monthly shows held at FBi Social and, starting Tuesday, 10th December, at Harold Park Hotel. The Laugh Stand crew promise top shelf big name, pro and rising comedic talent, so you're pretty much guaranteed a cracker of a night out.
People at the previous gig at FBi Social were treated to the comedic talents of NZ's Ruven Govender, Chris Leben and comedy legend Peter Meisel, all led by MC Tom Ballard.
Tom Ballard was the MC at The Laugh Stand's November 2013 gig at FBi Social, Kings Cross
The next gig at Harold Park Hotel on Tuesday, 10th December, will prove to offer much the same calibre of talent, with the likes of Tommy Dean, Lindsay Webb (the MC for the evening) and possibly your new fave comedians Dane Hiser, Scott Dettrick, Michele Betts, Jared Jekyll and Andrew Wolfe helping you through the evening. Get your tickets for this event quickly!
If for some unfathomable reason you can't make it, never fear, there are plenty of gigs coming up in the near future - check them out on The Laugh Stand's Upcoming Shows page for more details. Expect to see Peter Berner, Cam Knight, Mikey Robins and lots of other great acts. It's an awesome way to check out local talent and have a bit of fun with your friends. Both FBi Social and Harold Park Hotel also offer food and beverage packages with your tickets, so you won't even have to sit there on an empty stomach!
The Laugh Stand's comedy nights are probably going to the be the shining beacon of light you'll see on a monthly basis amid the humdrum of everyday life, so make it a regular night in your calendar and give yourself something to look forward to!
