Late Night Party Boyz debuted at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018. Self-described as a 'high-energy, absurdist sketch comedy', this show certainly was that!
It begins the moment you walk through the venue door. The venue is small and dark, there are 2 Party Boyz (Ross Purdy and Damian Vosk) and their accompanying sound effects assistant. The show itself is quite wacky and, be warned, it does not suit all tastes of humour. I didn't, personally, understand all of the sketches, references and jokes - the wittiness quite possibly too complex and fast for me. Visually, it was entertaining though with several amusing character sketches. It does get messy at times, I'm sure glad I wasn't in the front row! A bit vulgar (and possibly confronting) at other times, which does not suit everyone. Quite a bit of audience involvement was fun.
