Currently planning my days around brunch.

Together for 7 years. Married for 1. No this isn't a a personal ad, this is a last minute list created out of desperation.

We are not anniversary people, not in a support of feminism or in a show of defiance against capitalism. There's no hidden moral to our habit, we just never have. We dance to the beat of our own drum, if the drum was off-beat. We decided marriage wouldn't change this, maybe dinner, but no presents. A card is allowed, but not needed.

Our anniversary is 3 days away. Hubby told me last night in bed, (before rolling over to leave me in my state of panic) that he decided to build me a vegetable patch for our anniversary.

That traitor. How dare he?! He's trying to out shine me. Make him look like he's a better husband than I am wife. Challenge accepted my friend.

Here is my 3 last minute anniversary gift ideas that you can get for your man, in Melbourne, at the last minute.

1) Kings Domain South Yarra - The Royal Treatment

Look, while having someone rub your throat with a super sharp knife isn't my idea of a good time - the hubby loves it. They do a brilliant vintage shave, while your man sips on a beer and he always comes out looking like he walked straight out of Mad Men- a bonus for me.

$90-Definately a contender.

2) Boutique Le Vin - Imported Beer

My man loves himself a pale ale, something fruity, that you can't always buy, something different.

Not only do they have a wide range of imported beers, they make their own range of liquors in any bottle you life. The caramel whiskey is particularly good and with a touch of gold flakes on the bottom it's pretty impressive.

Prices start at $20.

3) Werribee Zoo Slumber Safari
For a man who is particularly hard to buy for. The Werribee zoo experience is up close and personal, you really feel like the animals are in their natural habitat. Their ride along experience is pretty captivating, but all night? Sounds like I'd be fulfilling my hubby's childhood dreams.

$300 per adult, $145 per child.

I'm pretty short, maybe I could pass as a child.

Now to decide....
