So Friday night, me and some of my closest friends decided to check it out and the place was awesome. It was a little small, but aside from that it was decorated amazingly with oversized couches, mismatching dramatic chandeliers and mirrors and glass everywhere. It was basically 1700s French décor on overdrive. A cross between Moulin Rouge and Tim Burton's rendition of Alice in Wonderland. The whole look of the place just added to the atmosphere and you felt special just being there.
The downstairs bar is a huge space with blue and yellow-tassel barstools on one end and a huge chandelier hanging above it. The bar itself is surrounded with mismatched and over-sized vintage armchairs and couches. On the right of the bar (towards the front) is another area with additional seating decorated by beehive-inspired mirror tiles on the ceiling, adding that little bit of 'fancy' to an otherwise smaller section.
Upstairs consists of two more seating area's with a bar in the middle. Each end is able to be reserved for functions and again, the place is furnished with mismatched vintage seating - all very cool.
Overall, we all had an amazing time. The staff were amazingly friendly, the cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere was truly something different to your usual bar. Did I mention they also do dinner from 5pm? They also offer a range of bar snacks until late in case anyone gets the munchies.
I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.
