More than 100 established and emerging artists will showcase their skills within a small 'canvas' at Australian Galleries in Collingwood. The artists contributed up to six works of a maximum size of 25cm for the 'large exhibition of small works' show.
The works – paintings, prints, ceramics, and sculptures - will be displayed from 23 November to 18 December.
The pre-Christmas timing is excellent; art makes a great gift for the person who has 'everything'.
The small format is reminiscent of the Linden Postcard Show but, unlike it, all artists are represented by Australian Galleries rather than being drawn from the public at large.
Australian Galleries is a family business established in 1956 which now has six galleries, four in Victoria and two in New South Wales. The show will be held in the gallery at 35 Derby St, Collingwood, which originally housed the family's former business, a factory producing clothing patterns.
