I write for Weekend Notes and I take photographs, usually sunsets and sunrises. Occasionally I include my photos in my articles. I like to promote Geelong, and activities around Geelong.
Event:
The Lara Food and Wine Festival is on Sunday 22nd March 2015 at Pirra Homestead. At the festival you will be able to try food and wine from the region and also from around the state.

There will also be an art show, a photo competition, cooking demonstrations, children's actvities, and local and international chefs and celebrities at the festival. Children's activities include gardening, face painting, magic shows, art activities and Bubble Muffin events throughout the day. The Bubble Muffin team will teach children about good nutrition and how to cook in a fun and entertaining, hands-on cooking class.

At this family event, people will come together to celebrate local and regional produce in a community event, allowing local producers the chance to show the best they have to offer. There will be over 80 exhibitors at this great social day.

MasterChef's Matt Preston will be at the festival. Matt Preston has pronounced that "the Lara Food & Wine Festival is one of the best festivals in Australia".
