Located in the Eyre Peninsula,
L'Anse French Cafe & Croissanterie serves authentic French food whether you're wanting to dine in with family and friends at breakfast or simply looking for a quick takeaway croissant. We were on the move that morning but had to stop by after hearing all the positive reviews.
Now that I've tried it myself, I can agree that their handmade pastries are delicious and of a high quality. Our almond croissant was as flaky and golden as it should be. Its filling had just the right amount of sweetness. As for our pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant), the puffiness of the pastry could not be faulted. The chocolate pieces in the centre still had a bite to it. Although a queue tends to form for takeaway, it is definitely worth the wait.
If you'd like a table, bookings are recommended as this place is dearly loved by the locals. Their breakfast, brunch and lunch menus do evolve. Opening hours are 7:30am to 3pm on weekdays and 8am to 3pm on weekends with the kitchen closing at 2pm. Be sure to treat yourself the next time you're in Port Lincoln. The cafe can be found at 60 Liverpool Street.
