This year, there will be over thirty community stalls with arts and crafts, baked goods, clothing and games for sale as well as activities such as face painting, pony rides baby animal farm, jumping castle, magic show and rock climbing for the children. Entertainment will include live music and dance performances. Food will include wood-fired pizza, German sausages, dumplings, cheeses and charcuterie, cakes, biscuits, slices and jams; so much, the mouth is watering already.
The goal this year is about highlighting the great work done by all our emergency services – Surf Life Savers, State Emergency Services, Fire Brigade, Local Ambulance Committee and Council's Disaster Management Team. Vehicles from all these community services will be displayed during the day and it is also a good chance to talk to a representative if you have questions to be answered.
Brisbane's Lord Mayor will present the official opening of the day and the Peter Rabbit movie will be shown in the park at 6.00pm. Remember to bring your blankets or chairs for relaxed viewing.
ATMs are available on site this year. The fair commences at 12 Noon at Lanham Park, Sellheim Street, Grange on Saturday 4th May 2019. Make your long-weekend a joyous event by attending this year's Lanham Park May Fair.
