On Sunday 19th May, Langhorne Creek had the perfect event for anyone who loves a good wedding. Engaged couples, families, parents and bridal parties all travelled down to Langhorne Creek to experience a unique day of showcasing over 80 wedding suppliers on The Langhorne Creek Wedding Trail. This event was completely free of charge and saw almost 200 guests attend, with the first 100 receiving a free goodie bag. Held across 5 venues, guests travelled like a treasure hunt following a map, that not only showcased 5 wedding venues but everything else you could possibly need, including Accommodation, Cakes and Dessert, Catering, Celebrants, DJ and Entertainment, Flowers, Hair & Makeup, Honeymoon, Jewellery, Live Music, Photography, Transport and more.
The trail started with a small shed-like structure with beautiful wine barrels at the entrance and back of the building. This first stop eased guests into a day of a lot of information with a cake tasting from Lyons Den Cakes located in Hendon. Their cakes were beautiful and moist with lovely flavours. They welcome guests to join them in Hendon for a cake tasting. At only $15, this features 10 flavours and two different packs to choose from and with 20 flavours, guests are bound to find something they like. The table setting and lounge area display was done by MASE (Marketing, Activation, Styling and Events). They had an elegant approach with simple decorations to make a room pop. Also available at this stop was Coloured Lips Makeup Artistry, a celebrant service and photography stand with some amazing pictures. It also lets guests start the day with a laugh with a cut wedding bride and groom photo prop.
Venue 2 was Belvidere Memorial Hall, a historic but elegant older building, with white walls and wooden floors. The centre of this room was arranged with different custom made wedding gowns by Malachi Empire. This dresses were beautiful and featured a range of silk and lace sourced from all over the world. Their seamstresses want to create custom-made dresses to make brides' dreams become a reality. Artistry by Zoe was showcasing her makeup talents on guests who wanted to be pampered. Her approach to bridal makeup was elegant and soft. Flavia Watkins was offering a photography and dance lessons package just for the event. When you book Flavia Watkins as your photographer, you get a free dance lesson and 20% off future lessons. The photos of the bridal dance are such an important part of the special day, so I loved this combination.
Outside Belvidere Memorial Hall were the wedding cars, or should I say wedding Kombis; these are becoming more and more popular. Kombis4u were showcasing twin 1960's split screen Kombis in sunshine yellow, such a lovely idea, almost as great as Kombi Keg. Kombi Keg is a Kombi van with beer taps alongside the side for easy movable venue liquor that looks cute and stylish. We all have a beautiful pet that we love, these are our babies, so why wouldn't they be in your wedding. The Little Animal Co lets your pet join in the fun on your special day with custom-made suits, chauffeurs, boutique styling services and pet limos. Who doesn't love a puppy in a cute outfit!
Venue 3 was the stunning Oasis Gardens Function Centre. Are you dreaming of a garden reception with an elegant function centre close by for the reception? Then you'll love Oasis Gardens. The grassed area is accompanied by a stunning waterfall and a small gazebo, where you can have live musicians perform. During the Wedding Trail, Jenn Cole occupied this spot with beautiful harmonies. This vocalist and guitarist have a repertoire comprising of songs across all genres. This venue also saw Vineyard Road Wines teamed up with Star and Rose's beauty products. Together guests can plan a pamper party Hens' day featuring beautiful products and smooth wines.
Venue 4: The Winehouse, was a historic stone function room, overlooking a lawn with stunning views of the vineyards. This was a beautiful location for a garden ceremony with a rustic reception instead. Sugar cookies are becoming very popular as wedding name cards and guest gifts and MookUp Artist cookies were available inside the venue to taste and they were so good.

Gypsy Jack Wines were doing tastings, because good wine at a wedding is so important. Corinna from Deviation Acoustic was softly singing live music to create a beautiful atmosphere. Guests were invited to take home a Sample Music CD to listen to her further; the CD featured covers of Perfect - Ed Sheeran, Marry You - Bruno Mars, and All of Me - John Legend.
Does the idea of planning a wedding, make you think where do I start? That's where Heather King from Unforgettable Wedding Planning comes in. She takes the stress out your perfect day. She also does Grazing Tables, which are so popular today. Outside there is a large tree and under it sat an arch where the couple can be married and to the left of the tree saw gorgeous views of the vineyards.
Venue 5: [LINK=http://www.woodburnhomestead.com.au/]Woodburn Homestead was rustic - a vintage venue with brick walls, open roof and bench seats. Juggle House Experiences van was out the front, hosted by a juggling driver with a top hat. She specialises in hens' parties featuring karaoke and wine glasses, each with a different quirky saying. As guests walked through, the fire was roaring and was so warm and homely, especially with the wet weather that day.
In the centre of a white tent outside, ladies were modelling wedding gowns and showing guests how to wear your hair based on the style of dress. Surrounding them were tables decorated by Simply Sublime Events. These tablets were decorated simply but so elegantly with different colour schemes for each table. They specialise in table centrepieces, decorations, chair covers and sashes, bonbonniere, accommodation and more.
