Don't go past this patisserie
A patisserie is a shop where pastries and cakes are sold. The description fits Langfords, but they do a lot more.

We are here.

Pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sandwiches, rolls, toasties and wraps are all available to eat in or take away.

food displays
Many cabinets of goodies.

Their eat-in area is not large, but it is very bright and tantalisingly in sight of all the cakes and slices. There are several tables outside where you can eat alfresco under the shade of several bright red umbrellas.

How big are those neenish tarts.

Their eat-in menu is not extensive, but ideal for a quick lunch, although breakfast is served up until 3.00 pm.

I was attracted to their specials menu with a choice of five meal deals.

The specials menu.

I chose the pulled pork roll meal deal. Hot juicy pulled pork, BBQ sauce & fresh coleslaw on a freshly baked roll.

My pulled pork & coleslaw roll in a really fresh bun.

The deal included a medium coffee in a mug with a long-handed spoon. I mention this as on most occasions when you order coffee in a mug, the spoon doesn't touch the bottom of the mug, unless of course you drop the spoon and it does a submarine act.

My mug - of coffee.

The final part of the meal deal was a strawberry jelly donut. Sheer delight.

Absolutely delicious.

My coffee was hot, as ordered and expertly made by barista Chris.

My dining partner chose a chicken schnitzel & coleslaw sandwich meal deal. Warm chicken schnitzel with fresh coleslaw in freshly made bread. A can of soft drink and a strawberry jelly donut completed the meal. Both meals were only $12-50 each.

We ordered a side dish of a basket of chips for $5-00. They were crisp, tasty and delicious.

Our chips arrived in a wire basket.

A very large range of colourful tarts, cakes and slices were displayed in the many glass cabinets. Also noticed were several full-size birthday cakes.

Chris told me that everything, except the ice-creams and drinks were made in-house, including a range of breads, which can be made to order.

Langfords Patisserie is ideal for a quick meal, be it breakfast or lunch and for a great coffee. Parking in Manchester Road is easy, compared to nearby Brice Avenue.
