Unique interpretations of the land, sea and streets

Following the success of last year's exhibition, 'Landscapes, Seascapes & Streetscapes' returns to Aspire Gallery this April!

"Inspired by the beauty of our surroundings, each artist's take on the theme truly demonstrates the diversity of ways of viewing and interpreting the land, seas and streets of both Australia and the wider world." - Donagh Mengel, Director of Aspire Gallery

On show are scenes from popular acrylic/oil artist, Michael Cawdrey; Spanish-inspired street scenes by new Melbourne artist Jade Thompson; coastal map interpretations from Debbie Wiggan; and a showstopping country scene from Diane McDonald.

To complement the exhibition, experienced artist Robin Wilson is hosting an informal demonstration on Saturday 28 April from 10:30am. Robin will be demonstrating his unique landscape style which incorporates general post-impressionist to expressionist style with mood, colour and pattern being stressed more than realism. This is a unique opportunity to learn first hand from a very talented, and somewhat humorous, artist and see the processes that go into the creation of art!

'Landscapes, Seascapes and Streetscapes' opens on Wednesday 11 April and runs until Saturday 21 April 2018. The exhibition will be open from 10:30am to 4:30pm, Wednesday to Saturday.

The public is also invited to an Opening Night event on Saturday 14th April, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Please RSVP at for catering purposes.

Aspire Gallery is an art gallery that builds and develops emerging and semi-professional artists into full-time professional artists. Aspire Gallery aims to draw attention to collectible, unattainable art just before it booms.
