Don't Beat Around the Bush, Protect It
Landcare Australia is a non-political, non-profit and uniquely Australian partnership between the community, government and business which aims to protect and repair Australia's magnificent, yet stressed, natural resources.

Landcare is a grass-roots volunteer movement made up of individuals and groups who work on protecting and restoring their local environments. Since its establishment in 1989, Landcare has grown and developed to focus on the sustainable management of all Australia's natural resources. It supports environmental conservation projects across the nation, from coastal to urban and remote areas of Australia.

Landcare is hosting a FREE community day on Sunday 23rd March, from 11.00am - 3.30pm, at the Living Legends at Woodlands Historic Park in Greenvale (six minutes' drive north of Melbourne Airport). The aim of the day is to bring the community together to explore their broader backyard and to learn more about sustainable lifestyle choices.

- Future Sparks an interactive display where electricity is powered by pedal power

- guided nature walks

- reptile encounters wildlife up close, providing insights into local native reptiles, and

- children's activities Landcare fairy, face painting, pony rides and boomerang throwing.
