At 379 Bong Bong Street, Bowral, there is a shop that you just can't miss; Lancelot Hill Antiques. With a fairytale style shop front, it catches your eyes and invites you to explore the wonderland behind the wooden arch door covered by green ivy, which is accompanied by two red vintage bike wheels. Yes, Lancelot Hill Antiques is not only considered the best antique shop in Southern Highland region, but also an attraction in Bowral.

Whether you are a town wonderer or a serious antique collector, you will be amazed at what you see once you get into the shop. The antique museum houses a wide range of treasure, dating back to the 18th century, as well as recent acquisitions, such as souvenirs of Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton's royal wedding, including tea cups, plates and coffee mugs.

The shop was much more spacious than I expected; there were five show rooms at the back of the building, neatly decorated with vintage posters, vintage furniture, fine ceramics tableware and wooden artwork.

It is a one-stop shop, catered for people of all different tastes; whether you are an antique lover of vintage oil paintings or just enjoy poking around all things that are vintage.

Did I mention that there were several vintage mannequins standing around the shop!

We particularly love the green house in the shop, where you will find a collection of high tea fine ceramics and tableware. According to owner, Lance, a born and bred true local in Bowral, it made the fairytale theme complete, together with all the floral decorations in the front of the shop. The green house was such a contrast to the other showrooms, where you could find some rugged looking bric-a-brac here and there.

There were other small boutique shops dotted around Lancelot Hill
Antiques, so perhaps apart from exploring all the wineries in Bowral, you can also enjoy a shopping tour as well.
