If you haven't already experienced the delights of Lancelin and fancy a chilled out getaway to a sleepy fishing village then this is the place to stay. Based just an hour away from Perth, Lancelin is the perfect spot to escape the city and relax, fish, windsurf, and enjoy sand-boarding on the town's famous sand dunes.
Between October and April Lancelin busies up for the summer's Kite-surfing and Windsurfing season. It's the top spot in WA for both of these sports.
The lodge is perfectly located just a ten minute walk from the beach. It's one of the friendliest and cleanest backpackers I've ever stayed in, run by a lovely couple named Trish and Trev.
Stock up with food and supplies if you're coming for the weekend or backpacking away from the city for a few nights as there are minimal local shops and they're very pricey, even by Perth standards.
The lodge is extremely well facilitated, with a huge, clean, well stocked kitchen, an outdoor BBQ and pizza oven, WiFi, internet, free bicycle rental, fishing rods, hammocks, board games and a swimming pool.
It really feels like a home away from home, with room rates starting at $27 PPPN for an 8 share dorm, maxing at $75 per night for a twin room. YHA discount is applicable to these rates. Don't hesitate to ask for anything at this hostel, Trish and Trev will go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay.
