I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

The area surrounding Oxley is renowned for its gourmet delights and bakeries, wineries, cheese makers, breweries and artisan producers abound. The Prosecco Road of the King Valley, the scenic beauty of Bright, Beechworth, Myrtleford and the Victorian alpine regions are within a comfortable driving distance for day tripping.

Great facilities (image JW)
Lala Salama is a Swahili phrase for "sleep well" and a percentage of the profits goes towards supporting the
Tumaini Miles of Smiles Centre in western Kenya. The studio apartment is sparkling clean and very spacious with a comfortable queen bed, lounge, TV and WiFi. There is a large combined bathroom and laundry and the kitchen p/dining area is in a separate room down a couple of stairs. Breakfast supplies such as cereal, bread, spreads, milk, yoghurt and juice are included.

An interesting town (image JW)
The accomodation is on a quiet residential street and the outdoor seating area is also a handy place to park your bicycles. The hosts are at hand if needed and very friendly but non-intrusive.
Lala Salama makes for a relaxing peaceful stay when visiting this part of northern Victoria.
