Laksa King - slice roasted duck with orange miso glaze #BED
This place lives up to all the hype! The 20 minute wait, despite the advanced booking for 8pm, was well worth it.
Our mouths salivated like Pavlov's dog as we perused the extensive 100 plus item Malaysian menu written up on the wall while waiting in queue, smelling the aromatic items we were reading about. My eyes directed to the Fish Head Curry Laksa, a craving since my last visit to Asia, and ready to order as my first item.
We were seated on a small table, in amongst a crowded, bustling venue with barely room to move, and food being served faster than you could pour your next glass of wine!
When we asked our dining partners who eat at the venue frequently, for recommendations on what to order, they responded with certainty, "everything"! After sampling six dishes, I would have to agree!
Our selections – Peking Duck Pancakes; Roti with Satay Sauce; Fish Fillet Curry Laska as a substitute for the fish head one which through popularity sold out hours earlier; Seafood Curry Laksa, this place is famous for them, so of course it had to be on the list; Chinese Broccoli with garlic sauce; Nasi Goreng; and one of the Chef's specials for the evening, Sliced Roast Duck Breast with an orange miso glaze.

From the strong fragrant coconut milk broth in the curry laksa, to the delicate taste of the orange miso on roasted duck, our taste-buds were treated to bursts of extraordinary flavours, that craved more of the same long after our appetites were satisfied!
