Crispy fried softshell crab in creamy laksa curry, mmm
Tucked in on a quiet part of Little Lonsdale street, Laksa Bar is a precious find. Behind the clean tasteful shopfront, Melbourne's favourite Malaysian noodle soup is put to production, and their signature bowl of curry laksa is simply appetising.
The above is just the small size, while you have the option of ordering it large. The generous portion comes with the meat of your choice, fish cakes, bean curd, fried egg, snow peas, and other veggies on top of two kinds of noodles in thick coconut milk-based spicy soup. The abundant toppings allow every bite to be different and enjoyable. The hearty soup is satisfying.
For those that prefer a rice dish, a variety of options are available. Nasi Lemak is an assortment of a fried chicken drumstick, fried egg, spicy sauce, dried fish, peanuts, and veggies fashioned around a mound of coconut rice. This balanced meal is fulfilling both by taste and amount.
