In the middle of the busy suburb of Manor Lakes (formerly Wyndham Vale) you will find Lake Gladman. The lake is home to a wide and wonderful array of wildlife. Swans, ducks, geese and other brightly colored and lively birds will keep you entertained for hours if you have time to sit beside the lake and watch as they go about their day.
On one side of the lake is the main road of Manor Lakes and on the other is a children's playground, perfect for keeping the little ones amused after the novelty of watching all the wildlife wears off.
I highly recommend stopping by the lake if you are in the area and saying hello to some of the creatures that live in it. A definite positive, natural attraction for this small but bustling suburb in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
Lake Gladman is around 10 metres from Manor Lakes Boulevard, just follow Manor Lakes Boulevard around until you see the lake.
It is surprising isn't it Tabitha that we have these winderful little nature areas in the suburbs. I am fortunate to be withing walking distance of three lovely parks, one has a lake, another a small wetlands and the third has wonderful views. It would have been lovely to have had wider view of the lake in your article and perhaps even a picture of the children's playground.
