Recently I was fortunate to go walking around Lake Eden at North Lakes again with a women's walking group meet up. I'd been there for the first time a few weeks before and was delighted with its beauty and variety of birdlife. Plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the view.

Due to my love of photography and the wildlife, I found both times I stayed and took some great photographs. The first time I was so glad to snap some turtles and the next time, a family of swans.

The 1676 metre walk around the lake itself takes around twenty minutes, so you can go around as many times as you feel like. There is a café (not open Sunday afternoon when we went) and several others nearby. There are also picnic tables and a covered children's play area.
