New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Event:
Celebrate 50 years & participate in the Fitness Walk
The Lake Burley Griffin Walking Carnival is back on this Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, this year celebrating its 50th year. The race will include race walking athletes competing in the 10 mile and 20 mile races as well as shorter races along the way. These racewalkers all belong to a club affiliated with Racewalking Australia.

For the more casual walker, there is also the 5 mile Fitness Walk to participate in and enjoy the day with all age groups. This walk begins at 9am at Weston Park and has a turn around point at Scrivener Dam. Fitness Walk fees are Adult $10.00, Under 18 $5.00, Family $20.00.

All races begin and end at Weston Park, so cheer on the walkers, participate in the Fitness Walk or join up to be a volunteer on the day.
