Warrnambool is a beautiful town located at the Western end of the Great Ocean Road, and is also known as Windy Warrnambool. During a recent trip, we found ourselves hungry and craving for Italian food. Looking for a familiar site, such as La Porchetta, we drove around the main part of the town, till someone guided us to a place called
Lagana's (which was previously La Porchetta).
It was a dark, rainy and cold night, and we were delighted to find a warm, cosy, family friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff greeted us with a splendid smile, making us forget about the half an hour we had spent driving looking for a place to eat. The décor is casual and tastefully done.

We found our favourite items on the menu and placed our order. The place was relatively busy at 7pm, with some guests arriving in larger groups who had made reservations.
Soon enough, our food arrived. We ordered a vegetarian pizza for the kids, my husband ordered the Marinara pizza and I ordered Mushroom pasta in cream sauce. Not only did it look and smell appetizing, the first bite was as delicious as the whole experience up to the last bite.

Unfortunately, we could not try any of the desserts from the delicious dessert menu as we had had our fill. Perhaps, another time. Fun Fact: If you google the word Lagana, it means "baker" or "flatbread" in Italian.
If you are in Warrnambool, whether you live there, or visiting, reserve one meal stop at Lagana's. It's well worth it.
