Love pretty prints, layers of lace and unicorns? Then the Lady Petrova Boutique is your new best friend. The tiny space is overflowing with pastels, glitter and intrinsic styling that leaves you wanting to wear cocktail dresses and douse yourself in mountains of glitter.
The store is located on Flinders Lane (down Scott Alley) just metres away from the famed Degraves street.
The stylist, Petrova Hammond combines an elegant femininity with precise attention to detail to create beautiful and incessantly pretty creations within her store. Opening her Lady Petrova store in 2007 she launched her career by becoming a finalist on project Runway in 2008.
Think tea parties, lace gloves, girl power and floral headpieces, her clothes are an excellent choice for the not-too-far-away Spring Racing Carnival and also formals, weddings and 21st birthday parties.
Amongst the house brand are others such as Keepsake, Cameo-Garden State, Limecrime, and various ever changing designers all featured within her store, all concentrating on the creativity of women and further empowering them.
The current must have? rainbow pom-pom stockings in both black and sheer.
Escape the concrete jungle of Melbourne city and culturally immerse yourself in the whimsical landscape of Lady Petrova; where you'll hear 90's teen pop ballads and find that a little bit of lace is simply not enough.
If you want to experience something different, and speak to the absolutely lovely designer herself pop into the store this weekend.
Visit her website, or 'like' her page on Facebook for constant updates and photographs of her current ranges.
