I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at today. Situated on the corner of Logan Road and Cleveland Street in Stones Corner, Coorparoo, Lady Marmalade is a relatively small but very friendly café offering a great range of gluten free options, gourmet sandwiches made with organic breads, soup, salad and HEAPS of sweet treats.

Opened in July 2010 the owners, Bec and Mal, have had fun with the décor and included antiques, collectables and, in their own words, grungy staff. If 'grungy' means fun and friendly in today's dictionary then it describes them very well. Our table number was a toy turkey – need I say more? A breeze kept us relatively cool at our pavement table under the wide veranda of the former bank and record shop.

I opted for the Haloumi and roast pumpkin and requesting gluten free bread instead of the sourdough wasn't an issue. It was delicious though small, heartier appetites than mine may find the portions a bit light however their range of cakes and slices will fill up any hungry tums. My soy latte was also good and price-wise is on par with most cafes.

Overall the ticks all the boxes for a light or quick bite to eat or friends catching up over coffee. It is child friendly and conveniently situated with parking behind the Stones Corner Library or on the side streets.
