Have a coffee van travel to you
There are a lot of mobile coffee cafes around Perth and they are usually part of a large franchise. One of the very few independant operators is Jacinta who owns her own van. In fact she owns two vans and has enjoyed working for herself the last 4 years. Previously she was a transport coordinator but wanted the challenge of being a small business operator.
She took 3 months to come up with the catchy name of Lady Latte and now her gamble is paying off because she is so busy attending fetes and car shows and even outdoor movies where you will see her vans with queues of people lined up.
Not only does Jacinta make coffee using traditional Jarra bean, but has muffins, cookies, crips and cool drinks with bottled water available. A slushy machine gives you a choice of blue lemonade or strawberry flavour.
She can cover all events north or south of the river. Some of her regular events include City of Stirling and City of Cockburn sponsored activities. She is also a regular at the Writers Festival at UWA, the Joondalup Festival and the Garden Festival at Perry Lakes.
